Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does a Personal Trainer do for me?
A: In a nutshell, a personal trainer will evaluate you and your goals, design a
safe and effective exercise program, and provide support and motivation during each
workout. For greater details on what a trainer does and what to look for in a personal
trainer, check out the article "Hiring
a Personal Trainer".
Q: What happens during my training session?
A: A typical visit to Priority Fitness begins with you warming up for a few minutes
on a Treadmill, Bike or Elliptical Cross Trainer before your session starts with your
Personal Trainer. You will always meet with the same Personal Trainer at Priority
Fitness, who will guide you through a series of strength exercises chosen to suit your
goals and abilities. We are by your side evaluating exercise technique and motivating
you throughout the workout to achieve maximal results. Cardiovascular exercise
intervals, balance training and stretching activities may also be incorporated into
your workout program. Our primary goal at Priority Fitness is to provide you with a
sense of accomplishment and to make you feel better by the end of your session.
Q: How often do clients meet with a trainer?
A: Clients will typically meet with a Priority Fitness trainer 2 to 3 times per week,
however, it is possible to meet more or less frequently. We will work closely with each
individual to accommodate varying schedules and goals.
"The weight loss has been terrific, but I have also noticed an improved sense of balance and poise. I feel that I move more easily, I can stand for longer periods of time without getting tired. As a woman who just turned 50, these are very important benefits! My first three sessions with Priority Fitness were a gift from a dear friend, and I will be grateful for this gift for a long time to come!"

Q: I have a busy schedule and not much time to exercise. How flexible is the
scheduling of sessions and are there time-efficient options?
A: Priority Fitness offers 30-minute and 55-minutes personal training
sessions. Trainers will take advantage of various time-efficient program
designs to make the best use of a 30-minute session. Since Priority Fitness is a private
by-appointment facility, sessions can be scheduled at any time of day. Typically,

on Saturdays and Sundays. Trainers can offer regular, weekly session times or varying
weekly times when needed. Priority Fitness will assign you to trainers who can best

"I was very pleased to find that I could work in 90 degree heat and humidity all day clearing brush and cutting trees. I also was able to use a post-hole digger for an hour because of the shoulder weight training I do at Priority Fitness. Three months ago I couldn’t have done it. That makes me feel excellent."
